केंद्र सरकार ने पेट्रोल और डीजल की बिक्री एवं वितरण पर लगाए गए अस्थायी नियामक प्रतिबंध वापस लेने का निर्णय लिया है। पेट्रोलियम एवं प्राकृतिक गैस मंत्रालय ने घोषणा की है कि 1 जुलाई, 2026 से सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की तेल विपणन कंपनियों के खुदरा बिक्री केंद्रों पर मोटर स्पिरिट (पेट्रोल) और हाई स्पीड डीजल (एचएसडी) की बिक्री एवं वितरण पर लागू अस्थायी प्रतिबंध समाप्त कर दिए जाएंगे।The central government has decided to withdraw temporary regulatory restrictions imposed on the sale and distribution of petrol and diesel. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has announced that the temporary restrictions on the sale and distribution of Motor Spirit (Petrol) and High Speed Diesel (HSD) at retail outlets of public sector oil marketing companies will be lifted from July 1, 2026.

मंत्रालय के अनुसार, पश्चिम एशिया संकट के दौरान सरकार ने अंतरराष्ट्रीय ईंधन कीमतों में तेज बढ़ोतरी के बावजूद देश में पेट्रोल और डीजल की खुदरा कीमतों को स्थिर रखा। इससे खुदरा और थोक ईंधन कीमतों के बीच बड़ा अंतर पैदा हो गया। इसके चलते कुछ औद्योगिक, वाणिज्यिक और संस्थागत उपभोक्ताओं ने खुदरा पेट्रोल पंपों से बड़ी मात्रा में ईंधन खरीदना शुरू कर दिया, जिससे जमाखोरी, कालाबाजारी और हेराफेरी की घटनाएं सामने आईं तथा ईंधन के समान वितरण पर असर पड़ा।According to the ministry, during the Middle East crisis, the government kept retail prices of petrol and diesel stable in the country despite the sharp rise in international fuel prices. This created a large gap between retail and wholesale fuel prices. This led to some industrial, commercial and institutional consumers starting to purchase fuel in large quantities from retail petrol pumps, leading to hoarding, black marketing and embezzlement and affecting equitable distribution of fuel.

स्थिति को नियंत्रित करने के लिए 12 जून, 2026 से अस्थायी नियामक उपाय लागू किए गए थे। इनके तहत खुदरा बिक्री केंद्रों पर प्रति ग्राहक या वाहन प्रतिदिन अधिकतम 200 लीटर हाई स्पीड डीजल देने की सीमा तय की गई थी। साथ ही औद्योगिक, वाणिज्यिक और संस्थागत उपभोक्ताओं को खुदरा पंपों के बजाय निर्धारित उपभोक्ता पंपों से ईंधन खरीदने के निर्देश दिए गए थे। इन उपायों का उद्देश्य खुदरा उपभोक्ताओं के लिए पेट्रोल और डीजल की निर्बाध उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित करना और कालाबाजारी तथा जमाखोरी पर रोक लगाना था।Temporary regulatory measures were implemented from June 12, 2026 to control the situation. Under this, a maximum of 200 liters of high-speed diesel per day was fixed at retail outlets. Also, industrial, commercial and institutional consumers were instructed to buy fuel from designated consumer pumps instead of retail pumps. These measures were aimed at ensuring uninterrupted availability of petrol and diesel to retail consumers and preventing black marketing and hoarding.

आपूर्ति सामान्य होने पर हटाए गए प्रतिबंधRestrictions lifted when supplies return to normal

सरकार ने देश में पेट्रोलियम उत्पादों की उपलब्धता और आपूर्ति व्यवस्था की समीक्षा के बाद पाया कि अब अस्थायी प्रतिबंधों की आवश्यकता नहीं है। इसलिए 12 जून, 2026 को जारी आदेश को 1 जुलाई, 2026 से वापस लेने का निर्णय लिया गया है।The government, after reviewing the availability and supply mechanism of petroleum products in the country, has observed that temporary restrictions are no longer required. Therefore, it has been decided to withdraw the order issued on 12th June, 2026 with effect from 1st July, 2026.

सामान्य आपूर्ति व्यवस्था बहालNormal supply chain restored

मंत्रालय ने कहा कि इन अस्थायी उपायों से पूरे देश में खुदरा उपभोक्ताओं के हितों की रक्षा करते हुए पेट्रोल और डीजल की पर्याप्त उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित करने में मदद मिली। अब प्रतिबंध हटाए जाने से यह संकेत मिलता है कि ईंधन की आपूर्ति व्यवस्था सामान्य हो चुकी है और वितरण प्रणाली पूरी तरह बहाल हो गई है। (इनपुट: पीआईबी)The ministry said that these temporary measures helped in ensuring adequate availability of petrol and diesel while protecting the interest of retail consumers across the country. Now that the ban has been lifted, it indicates that the fuel supply system has returned to normal and the distribution system has been fully restored.
